Ashley Caudill's Visual Resume

I had a lot of fun with this assignment.  I first, I thought I would never use it, but after designing it I think I could definitely use it!  I designed my resume in Photoshop, I had a LOT of rough drafts and different color schemes, but this look became my favorite.

  1. Ashley, this is extremely well done and I am loving the fonts, themes, and colors that were used throughout the visual. The format is simple enough to get the point across, yet, bold and visually appealing with the use of appropriate colors. In reference to the colors, I especially love how the you have the neutral blues, but you added a fierce pop of color with the orange that really captures the attention of the reader.

I did especially like how you took your name and made it almost similar to a logo. It is almost like you are branding yourself and putting yourself out there for others to remember that they saw your resume. They will definitely remember your name!

    Recommendations:

1.) Honestly, when I first saw your resume, I knew I was going to have a hard time picking out aspects that you should improve upon (and trust me, I was right). I stared long and hard and thought, maybe a minor visual or two could really help to represent you and the work that you have completed in the past.

2.) My second recommendation is to possibly add something more personalized to demonstrate what you do now. Since you are a Media Specialist, maybe it would be beneficial to add something into the resume that shows what you have done. Or you could go the route of showing off a passion or interests of yours that could make it more individualized to set it apart from all of the other resumes.

I hope you found this helpful in some way!
