Leah's Brochure Draft

So! Whenever it comes to using Photoshop and creating original images...I go for my ferrets! Here's a little walk though that I made for new ferret owners! Too many times I have seen young ferrets given up to shelters because new owners get overwhelmed! And if you're thinking about getting one...DO IT! I got to highlight 3 out of my 4 fuzzies! I hope you like!

  1. Hey Leah -

I like this brochure! Your pictures are awesome too! My suggestions are as follows:
    - Under the title "Warning Signs," at the very bottom of the page, that paragraph has the words "let" & "you" ("letyou") together that you might want to space out. Also, you may want to consider flushing "Standard" to the right so it matches where "Bushy" is.
    - I'd also encourage you to make the block-shape borders the same size on the inside/outside. The green ones on the inside look a little thinner.
    - Under "Grooming," I'd use bullet points for the two points you make about it stripping their oils and increasing odor. Do that for the "Ferret's Diet" information too.
    - I noticed that on the outside sections of your brochure, all of your words are bold. I would try to maintain consistency throughout the brochure. So if the text is not bold, don't bold.
    - I was also wondering the relation it has to Simple Solutions?

I know that this may seem like a lot, but I feel like it's just minor things that won't take too much time to change. I love the colors and I think it looks good overall! Good work!

  2. Thanks for catch on the words! I think it was hard to distinguish the text when I had the grid up! Thanks for pointing out the boxes too because now it's bothering me! And the bold thing too! I didn't even realized that I left it all bold on the outside!

I would love to have used bullet points...but I couldn't find them haha. I will keep digging to see if I can find them! Simple Solutions was the logo that I made for my directed study. It's sort of like my "company" or my "brand" for anything I do. And I know a lot of people give up their ferrets to shelters because they don't feel educated enough to properly take care of them. So this was my idea of a "simple solution" to being a ferret owner!
