Ashley Caudill Brochure Draft

Here is my rough draft of the Educational Leadership brochure, I am still working on the graphic on the front, it's still a little rough looking.  I emailed a couple people trying to find images to add to the brochure but unfortunately they didn't have any or they wouldn't let me use them for this purpose, so my brochure is a tad text heavy and no images.  I tried to keep the same theme as my poster including the colors and the checklist graphic.  The brochure should be folded as a typical trifold brochure, but I labeled them so you can get the idea of how it should be folded.

  1. This looks great. I like how the wavy line flows throughout the entire front of the brochure.

  2. Ashley,

I love how you kept all of the colors consistent with the original poster that you presented to us. It really looks very neat, organized, and professional. I also really appreciated the way that you chunked the text by using a different colored font or by using boxed bullets. The only suggestion that I would have had was to add some images that reflect the mission of the program. I know sometimes it can be difficult to find some meaningful images and that you had a difficult time with receiving any of the images that you asked for (trust me, I completely understand). I was also thinking that if you were unable to find images, you could chunk the text a bit more under the section labeled "What is Educational Leadership" in order to make it more reader friendly.

Overall, I think you did a great job at keeping all aspect of your brochure consistent and professionally done. Great job!

  3. Just a thought...currently your cover is going to say "D LEADERSHIP EDUCATION" on the bottom of it when the brochure is folded. And the only time the reader would see that entire sentence is if they lay it out flat. I wonder if that sentence would work better on the other page since they would see it when they opened the tri-fold up.

  4. Ashley, I really like your layout. It looks really crisp and professional. I also like the border you created on page 1. If you could smooth out the edges, I think it would make it even sharper. I agree with the comments that Mariya and Rob made. Some extra pictures would elevate your brochure even more and I would move that sentence from page 1 to page 2. I had a few other suggestions/comments. It seems like the text has some strange breaks under your FAQ section. It seems like it may have been a cutting/pasting issue. I would also move the website, which is really small, from the you list from FAQ section to the "Contact Us" section. I would put it under your logo. Lastly, a minor detail, on page 2 you have a small purple border on the bottom of the page, but on the last section the words kind of run into that border. I'd try to move those up and keep consistent margins on that page since you see all the sections at once. Great job! I think this brochure is really well done!
