Ashley Caudill Picture Book Draft
Here is my picture book draft. I had so much fun making this book, I have never really drawn anything before so it was fun to step out of my comfort zone. This story is from when my husband was about 4 or 5 years old and his mom made it up and used to sing it to him.

Great job! You did a great job drawing everything. I was severely limited by my artistic abilities.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute concept! I especially adore that you did this for your husband. I am sure that he will appreciate it a lot! I also love the illustrations. Did you use an application to create them or did you create them yourself?
I had a very difficult time thinking about suggestions for improvement because it is so well done. The only thing that I could think to suggest was to either use a different color for the background of those pages with just individual words on it (i.e. the ones that say "And...Now..."). Or place something additional on those pages to make them meaningful to the story in some way. I hope that makes sense. Also, I was wondering, was the orange ladder looking object supposed to be a fence? I was not completely sure so I wanted to make sure that was the point that you were trying to get across to your audience. Overall, awesome concept and very well done so far!

DeleteI did make all the images myself in photoshop, it was quite the challenge. I was hoping that looked like a fence of some sort. Does it not? I can try to work on that. Thanks for the feedback.
