Here is a google sites rough draft of my website. I am planning to add more pages, like a team page and policies page.
The purpose of my website will be to connect students, parents and teacher together with the classroom policies and information throughout the year.

Looking good! Some things to take a look at:
ReplyDelete1) the color of the font against the background of your navigation bar is a little hard to read
2) I did not see the subpages section at the bottom, I sure you are using a template, but is there an option to change that so they drop down from the navigation bar at the top?
3) The contact information should be left aligned. and I think it is okay to leave off "email" and "phone number". I mean if someone can't tell what those are without it, they probably won't know how to use it anyways haha.. Or you could take that as an opportunity to use a symbol!
4) An icon by each class announcement might be a fun way to capture the student's attention and intrigue parents.
5) The font changes on your calendar page. Is that just Google or can you change it?
Definitely a great resource to have finished before going into your first year teaching!!
Make sure to include more images because that is weighted heavily on the rubric!
