  1. Wow Tassie this looks great!!! I love that you use different shades of purples and grays throughout. I also like how you clustered your information so that it was easy to find.

  2. I definitely agree! It is very visually appealing. I like how each section is contrasting to the others, but yet it flows so well. Great work Tassie!

  3. Tassie-

I really enjoy how organized and easy the information is to read. Some comments I had:
    1. The font on the purple squares going at an angle is small and makes it hard to read. (I’m not sure if this is just because you had to make the page smaller to fit on the blog or not)
    2. For the Education area: I am wondering why the shapes vary between each other. I noticed that 3 of the 5 were circles and it made me ask myself if they are like that for a reason or if it is just for looks. This was not necessarily a problem I found but I did find myself wondering if the variance of the shapes had any meaning to them.
    3. Finally I thought maybe you could add a touch of gold somewhere else in the resume just because you only see it in “Expertise and Involvement” area.

    Good job!

    1. On it! The shapes of the education are actually catagories I did not note in a legend. The circles are master's level, etc. Great questions/suggestions!

  4. I agree with Britney's points and found myself in the same situation as her #2 with the shape differences and possible attributed meanings. Regarding Britney's #3, I absolutely agree with incorporating more gold. That would add another level of depth to your resume and could be a great emphasizer, while right now it's more of an outlier in the corner.

Your striped background is creative and helps distinguish between the timeline and your other sections. Right now, your Education section seems out of proportion due to the horizontal line not aligning with the bottom of your Expertise section.

My final suggestion is to play around with different fonts to add more variety and character to your resume

  5. Tassie,

Great use of sections and breaking up the information to make it easy for the viewer to digest. I like the play on JMU colors, and think the soft purple and gold are nice.

I would suggest using more icons to increase the visual nature of the resume. Also, increase the opacity of your grey boxes behind the dates on your timelines - at present, they show thorough to the pin stripes behind and create to much distraction for those years. Also, you could consider increasing the size of the font in your professional experience section since there is plenty of room and it is a little hard to read at present.

Overall great resume - clear and well organized.
