  1. I really like your color scheme and your graphics. I think they go well together. One suggestion I had was to explain what the objects and the numbers on the right side stand for...I was a little confused with that. I like it though, great job!

    1. And now that I see the icons on other resumes it does make sense...sorry about that!

  2. Cat,

Great color scheme, consistent font, and variety within your resume! Everything is concise and easy for readers, or rather potential employers, to follow. I agree with Shaun, though, that initially I was confused by your rating scale so maybe clarifying that would help. I think the scale just seems a bit disconnected from the icons and their ratings. Also, the software icons seem rather large, like you wanted them to be a main focal point of your document. If you intended this--great! But if not, they might be better off a bit smaller. Do you have any job/work experience to add to your resume? I think that would just look really nice under your education section! The only other thing that might be slightly confusing to viewers is that it looks like your educational section is formatted as two equations. The "+ major" and "- minor" seem (initially) to be part the "4 years=undergraduate". Even though I realize that your intent behind the + and - was to emphasize your minor and major, when people see the symbols +,-, =, they typically read it as an equation. Just a thought.

Not sure if you intended this to be like an online visual resume or a printed one, but it would probably be nice to actually include your email, phone, and website, rather than just the symbols.

  3. I LOVE your inclusion of your personalized signature and official signature at the bottom! Are the icons along the bottom of the page your work section? I see the Freshman Parking and JMU logos..and perhaps the people represent 4-VA?

Really enjoy your color scheme and the modification of the icons to fit into the scheme. I think if a few items were smaller, the scale could fit with the icons it represents and a little more "white" space could be utilized to lead the eye down your resume.

And I'm pretty sure you intended the same thing I did in linking those icons to email/phone, etc? I know mine won't translate in this venue because it is saved as a PNG, but if you did the same for web display: love it!
