Financial procedures handbook

The pages are not matched up (content with form) in the photos below because when they are printed and assembled back to front, they line up correctly. I know the form graphics look like the font is hard to read, but when printed it is clear.

Let me know if you have questions - feedback appreciated.

  1. Cat-

Nice looking manual! Very clean use of lines and space. I particularly like your inclusion of the tables for each form designating the description, what it is used for and when you would use it. Great call outs and highlights from what I can see without zooming in on the text. Very clear.

The only thing I really saw was an alignment issue in the table for the Onboarding Form (What we use it for) and the Travel Authorization Form(When it is used). These two aren't center aligned like the rest, but are currently bottom aligned.

    Looks great!

  2. Cat, this looks great! I like your flow. After having the responsibility of getting in all those forms when I was in Development, I sure wish someone had taken the time to explain them in such great detail while not overwhelming me! Nice job!

  3. I really like your manual!!! You did a great job being concise, and it's nice that users can flip right to the section they want, rather than having to search through a bunch of pages to find just the one section they need. I'm impressed with all you were able to fit onto each page! Minor thing: did you check to see if the purple in the JMU insignia was the same purple that you used throughout the rest of the front/back of the brochure? To me, they looked slightly different, and it'd prob be good if they are the same. I'm assuming you already know about this website (I just learned about it last year): http://www.jmu.edu/identity/logo.shtml. I just like it because I can go to it to get the exact color palette (like the actual RGB, CMYK color values) that JMU uses throughout their communications, so that whatever I make that's JMU-related has a consistent feel. Looks great though!

  4. Wow..after looking at these forms I hope I never have to fill them out! I think this is a great idea because paperwork that is this detailed definitely needs to have some assistance with it. I like how you are consistent with the charts on each page, which gives individuals some background knowledge on the forms. Giving examples of how to fill out the forms is a great way to provide assistance. Nice work!
