Justin's Storyboard

This instructional material's target audience is students who are new to online learning. The goal of the instruction is to provide support to help the new online learners feel comfortable with the technology. On the Blackboard and Collaborate tabs each button will bring up a different PDF handout that can server as a job aid visually depicting how to do a task. The two different tabs are in place to chunk the material into like categories. The buttons allow the learners to only access the information pertaining to the tasks that they need. Different learners have differing levels of experience with Blackboard. Some may know how to do most of the tasks already and others may be new to Blackboard and are seeking more guidance. A link to the protype version of this website can be found below. Any feedback and constructive criticism is appreciated.

  1. Your weebly looks great! Just like the storyboard :)

Just be sure all of the PDF's are connected to the buttons on your website.

  2. Your prototype looks great so far. I would suggest having the links open a new tab for the PDFs rather than having your user navigate back and forth between the homepage and each separate PDF. That way, if the PDFs are opened as separate tabs, the user could have several opened at one time if they needed. Also, it might be nice to have a short description at the top of the Blackboard and Collaborate pages. I know you give a description on the homepage, but it might serve as a good reminder to the user, and for those who may choose to not read what is on the homepage (the lazy ones ;)). As far as the design, it looks good so far.
