Raleigh's children's picture book--"How are you feeling today?"

Any and all feedback is welcome!  This children's picture book does not yet have a front/cover, but it will once I turn it in!  Thanks.

  1. Raleigh,

I really like your design! It has very nice consistency with the marble/polka dot background. I love the color combinations you used. You also do a nice job with the style of font telling the story of your book. The characters you have used also connect very well with the feelings you have used. Great job!

  2. Raleigh,

Great picture book - great audience analysis and graphics. The varying word text is appropriate and each fit with the theme of the character.

The text and background color for the "frustrated" pages are hard on the eye - they are to similar. Consider changing the text color tone to something deeper?

    Great work overall

  3. I love your depictions of the emotion through the font of the actual word. To go along with what Shaun said, there is consistency throughout the entire book with the marble/polka dot background, but you add flavor to it with the color. Besides Cat's suggestion on changing the fighting colors on the "frustrated" pages, I think everything looks great! How did you do the little round guys? They are cute :) and very kid friendly.

  4. Interesting- my eyes don't like the first two color combinations and I can feel them straining to focus on it, but the frustrated doesn't bother me.

Very cute, very simple. Would make a great beginner book with the repetition between the words and the character, and then the question following each emotion.

Did you use a 3D program to design the circle guy yourself?

    1. Thanks for your input, Caitlin! And no, I just made the little guy in Photoshop. :)
