Web Activity 3

I used a visual similar to the one shown in the book for the Information Processing Theory. I tried to then depict Baddeley's Episodic Buffer Theory on top of the visual. This visual shows how the two theories differ and where they overlap.

  1. Kelsey, you've got a lot going on here! I think your choice of using the visual in the book for Information Processing Theory was a great one, because that gives a foundation of something the viewer (class peers) is at least somewhat familiar with. I like that you wanted to use that original image and color coding to show where the two theories differ, and where they overlap. My only comments of constructive feedback would be that the lines can be a bit confusing and some of the text is a little too small and could be more clear; that being said, I think it's great that you used the least amount of text possible so the viewer does not experience cognitive overload in that sense. Great job! :)

  2. Kelsey, I agree with Janie that you have a lot going on in this picture! There may be a way to simplify the image, while showing both theories. It may be easier to achieve this by using a more abstract graphic to represent what happens in memory rather than using a vague human profile.
