Freshmen Parking Flyer

  1. Oh, sorry, I just now realized that you had each posted a version of the brochure. I left a ton of comments on the first one. The suggestions I made about the colors (in the last post), would be the same color suggestions I would make here also.

The rounded yellow box at the right seems to go off the edge of the page, so just keep an eye out for that. You probably just need to move it over a smidge. Does that box need to be as rounded as it is? To me, it seems like you could dial down the rounded edges a bit.

Why is the car icon circular in one section of the flyer, but then squared at the top, in the logo? I wonder if this mismatch will cause confusion or ill recognition among viewers.

Why did you outline the phrase at the top that says “parking for students at schools with restrictive parking?” Just wondering, because I feel like the underline makes viewers feel that it is a critical phrase that they must pay attention to right away, when to me, it does not seem like that is the case.

The “JMU Alumni Owned….” text is centered, but the rest of the text in the body section seems to be left justified. My eyes get a bit confused when they see the combination of centered- and left-justified alignment combination. I would maybe stick to one or the other.

I like how you made the contact information super visible, so that viewers can access it easily. In this section, although it’s clear to most viewers that the website is freshmanparking.com (as indicated in the logo), some viewers might not notice that and might need you to remind them of what that website is again, in this bottom section.

  2. I like the overall look of the flyer. The colors are repeated nicely throughout. Nothing seems to be overly busy or crowded.
A couple of things did stand out to me. I feel like if you added something to the text at the top then you wouldn't have to underline it. Maybe adding "What is FP" could help. I also noticed the rounded yellow box. It looks like just moving it over would work. You could also decrease the size of the box and text, which would give you a little more space to work with. The quote at the bottom is in a nice place, but I feel like it needs to be set off more so that it is clearly recognizable as a quote.
I think it looks great though!
