There is a white border around the logo so the m and the 2 bleed into it. The background color matches the color of my poster and brochure background. so let me know what you think!
I like the idea of playing with the negative space. What do you think about making the m a little thicker? I think I would like to see some more white in the blue to balance things. Also I see a border at the top of the m where it goes into the white border, but not one above the 2. Was that intentional? I think you are on to something. Maybe try a couple of layouts that include fonts just for comparison?
Simple and distinct - I like it. I'm trying to picture how it will look against the larger background of your poster and brochure. I think the white against the bluish (don't know what to call this color!) will really stand out.
