Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to our blog! This blog will be used to help you practice seeing and creating instructional images. Each week, one of the class members will post a main topic related to visual literacy, graphic design, the use of visuals in instruction, or the use of technology to create visuals. This topic will then become our weekly discussion topic.

Since this class relates to the effective use of images for instruction, please feel free to illustrate your post with images (with appropriate citations), links to other websites, links to YouTube, or attached files. Often the best way to explain what you mean is through the use of images, so feel free to use them!

I have been making images since I was in high school. I studied art in college and have worked in graphic design and illustration at different points in my career. Below are some examples of my artwork created in traditional media - NOT with computers! For the most part, these are acrylics on canvas. The one of the Old Well is pastels on paper.
