Nice brochure Austin - I would make the squares for the prizes the lighter purple. They compete with the purple text. Also, could you make the "all together one" darker, a different font or add an outline to make is standout? I may also decrease the spacing between the titles on the second page "Improving Gradtuate Student Culture @ JMU" and "Graduate Student Interest Groups" to look like the other titles ("Graduate Student Colloquium").
This is really nice. I agree with Judy. Also, I would make the "ipad2, free money..." words a different color to offer more contrast with the squares behind them. Or maybe just making those square a lighter color would help with the contrast.
Jessica hit my thought. But my justification was to make it more exciting! (i.e. make it stand out and jump out to the reader as opposed to it blending in with the purple squares)
