Here's the draft for my poster. It's instructions for finding the combo to on-campus mailboxes.
This is sort of a prototype - a rough-in of the layout and placement of objects. I feel like I need to improve the connection between the step number and the instructions. My first idea was to mimic the look of those old-school mailbox, but I don't think I have the illustration skills to pull it off.
Any suggestions?
I like the simplicity of this!
ReplyDeleteBut I am confused where someone will see this poster. Will they see this while they're at their physical mailbox? Would this graphic be sent to them in email, or saved on a webpage? Maybe you can include information about who/where this is, as it is currently unbranded. Another suggestion is to include an option B. What if the student cannot figure out steps 1-3? What is their other option (asking the people at the post office, calling a customer support number)?
I agree with Becca that this has a nice look but where does it go? Also, the text in the boxes is distracting. The titles are bold and centered and I cannot tell if the directions are right or center justified. It seems there the margins are different in steps 2 and 3 than step 1.
ReplyDeleteThis is supposed to go in the area where the mailboxes are at. The instructions are currently written on a whiteboard (next to a public computer), but most people overlook that and ask at the info desk.
