Kara's Final Interface Design

I incorporated all of Jen's recommendations, and thought they worked well. I made the border at the bottom purple as well as adding the white silhouette of the hands (which I really liked - thanks Jen!). I altered some of the text sizing so that it was consistent as well as played with the official JMU logos a bit. Thanks for all the input! It's been a busy week!

The header image is from http://leahforteaching.com/wp-content/themes/LeahTheme/img/header.jpg and I edited it to better match with my color scheme.  When I have my own class, I hope to replace it with a picture of my students.  I wanted to convey that my class will focus on collaboration and student lead discussions.  The icon's are from Canva's assortment of free images.  The colors are those of the school I will be teaching at next year!

Rob Morgan Interface Design

I decided to create a welcome screen, menu screen, and some place holder screens for an eLearning. I do not have any eLearning in mind but when I create eLearning I sped a lot of time coming up with the themes and menus so I thought I would create a template to have available.

I started with a simple storyboard so I knew what to build.

I then started building my slides within Articulate Storyline 2. I wanted to go with a simple white background with lots of white space throughout. I also tried to bring the color scheme to all of the slides and to try to keep them consistent with each other.

The menu was the biggest stretch for me. I have never had a menu that looked anything like this but I thought it had a industrial magazine feel to it that I liked. I am considering adding something like an abstract smudge to the menu screen but I also like the clean look.

Obviously, if this went into production things like "Option" would be filled out but at this point it is just a place holder. I will also have the training name on the intro (first) slide. I then did a mock-up of 4 possible content slides.

Leah's Interface Draft-Feedback Welcome and Appreciated!

Hey guys! It still needs work but I wanted to shoot out what I have so far! I am looking to drive the development program at Kohl's as part of a directed study. This could be a simple interactive module/web ex or website!

RET Interface Draft

I was thinking about this project and wanted to incorporate it within the planetarium theme.  Currently there is a planetarium website which cannot be changed as it needs to adhere to JMU standards.  That is understandable, however I wanted to make an interface that new and veteran employees of the planetarium could use for some of their regular web-based tasks as well as use for reference material.  My organization looked something like this:

I have not gotten too far but I did code it all up in html to test it out.  Here are sever of the screens starting with the home page:

If anyone is interested in the code you can view it on through this liveweave link.

Amanda Leech Interface Design Draft

Here is my interface design. The bottom one is actually the home page. It's late and I'm tired so I don't have much else to say!

Leisha's Interface Design Draft

I am also creating a website for my class.  I want to make it a place with lots of information for parents and students to stay on top of everything. I'm including the PowerPoint with the layout for the website.  I have been playing around with both Wix and Doodlekit.  I want to use the colors form my logo.  I need to find more ways to incorporate images.  Thanks for any critique!

Mariya's Interface Design Draft

Below are the images of what I have completed so far. I wanted to keep the color scheme consistent with the brochure and posters that I have previously created. I also wanted to make sure that I had some of the images that I had previously incorporated, into the rest of the webpage. I do realize that it is a general outline and that most of the information is not presented on the images themselves. However, I wanted to make sure that the interface was as consistent and visually appealing as possible first.

The first three pages are the home page. While visiting the home page, individuals will be able to navigate the pictures that appear with the diamonds on the side of the rectangular "TV" object. Throughout all of the pages, I made it so that all viewers could easily view the images and text. When viewers click the tabs, they glow with a  bright orange and the sub tab that they are viewing does the same.

Please let me know what you think. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Amanda Loeser's Interface Draft

I made a website for all of the artifacts I have made since being at JMU. I used a grid like style for my main page and then my website allows the user to either click on the icon to get to that artifact or he/she can use the drop down on the top of the page. After the person clicks on the artifact, they can see my artifact and then read the description of it and how I would use it in my own classroom. I only took a screen shot of the first couple of pages, but if you would like to see more, you can go to my page at amandaloeser.weebly.com. After clicking on one of the pages, you can click the next or previous button to see another artifact. Not all of the icons are cohesive so I need to make sure I have the name of the artifact on top of the picture I have selected for each, but here is what I have so far! Let me know what you think!!
