Education Technology

For this week, I decided to find an article that has to do with the progress of educational technology over the years.  This is an article that dates the technology back to the 1600's.  I thought it was really interesting to see how the technology has been improved with time.  It was also really funny to see how the designs of older inventions influenced more recent designs and functions.  The coolest early invention I feel is the Magic Lantern.  I thought that the Magic Lantern had obvious influences on projectors now and even the most current use of an interactive white board.  What do you all think is the most interesting educational tool?  How do you think it has impacted future technology?

Kendra's Challenge Activity 11

As you can see, I decided to use clouds as my images. I mostly used the various tools in PwPt to illustrate depth, contrast, coloring, and space. I used the reflection and shadow effects, changed colors and line thickness, and added rain drops to a rainy cloud!

Web Activity 10

Challenge 10

I was having so much fun in Pixelmator I decided to draw my own shapes. These are clouds. Storming has angry lightning bolts. Forming doesn't quite attach. Norming does. Performing has a happy sun.

Self Portrait

This magnificent piece of art was done in Pixelmator. My right eye and nose was the first stroke. The mouth was the second. The other eye was the third. My hair and left ear was the fourth, and the right ear was the fifth and final line. Move over, Picasso.

Challenge 10: Team Development in Shapes

Self Portrait

This is me!! I chose to use the color orange because it is an energetic and crazy color, which I usually am. I used 5 lines to draw my facial features and my big curly hair!

Web & Challenge Activities

Web Activity 10 and Challenge Activity

This is the self portrait of myself. I used one line to make my eyebrows, nose, face, and hair. I used two lines for eyes. One line for my mouth and one line for my glasses.

Challenge 10

I tried to use descriptive shapes and very little written language in this assignment

Self portrait

My five lines consist of:
1. face, eye brows, nose, ears, earrings, and hairline
2/3. eyes
4. mouth
5. additional hair volume

Here is my self portrait, I used one line to show my long hair, one line to show my head and nose, one line for my mouth, and two lines for my eyes.  I think this portrait shows my most distinct qualities.

Feel free to laugh! This is me with a beard.

Self Portrait Christina Saunders

This is a really simple self portrait of myself. I decided to represent my brown curly hair with just one thin line representing my thin hair. I was also sure to have a smile!

Kelly Self Portrait

This is a really abstract self portrait but it shows the most important parts of me.  I used one line for my red hair, a line to show the outline of my face, a curved line to show my big smile, and last two line in the shape of a circle for by blue eyes.

Renee's Web Activity 10

So... this is my self-portrait. I used one of the examples in the book as a guide. I have one line that starts at the right eyebrow and outlines the nose, left eyebrow, chin, and hair. I used one line for each eye and one continuous line for the lips... I just realized that I used only 4 lines. Hmmm.... where should I put another one?

Web Activity 10.2

I created this image in PPT using only lines and shapes provided by Microsoft.

Web Activity 10

No laughing! I used Creativity 2.0-it's a free drawing tool I found online. I made my curls with one line, my face with one, 2 lines for my eyes and one line for my mouth. IT LOOKS JUST LIKE ME!!!
