I have tried a lot of different things with this poster, and I am not sure that this is exactly what I want my poster to look like, but here's a draft. What do you think?
There are a lot of colors on this poster, warm AND cold purples. Maybe change the heading colors to the purple in the graduate school image to tie it all together better? Also, get rid of the 'Recent Graduate Careers' copy and spread out the 'Benefits of the Program' paragraph to fit in that space. That change might make the poster seem less busy.
I did a search and couldn't find the logo you have at the bottom middle, but it looks elongated. I think the text at the bottom right would look better if it was aligned left and have the "white space" on the right. I think it's difficult to read text that is right-justified. There is a lot of text, but I like what you did with it. Your final logo looks nice and I like the nice wide border.
What cold purple are you referring to? The background of the poster is grey, but now on a different computer the background looks lavender, is that what you mean?
