I found that I was not happy with photographs that I had available so I have done the best I could do with what I have. The photographs are of girls in my troop. The clip art is from gsvsc.org. I ended up using a white background because of the white boxes that my logo and other files were in, even after saving the file as a png file.
I like the overall style of your brochure. While I like the sage-ish green and blue you chose to go with, I wonder if you picked colors from the logo to use instead. It just seems to be lots of different colors. I am not sure this would work, but it might. For the contact info on the back, I might reword it, as it seems choppy. Maybe something like "Meetings are held every other Wednesday from 6-7pm" You don't need to include evenings if you say pm. If you are having trouble with white background you can put things in photoshop and get rid of the background by selecting items and then right clicking and duplicate layer/copy ( I can email exact instructions when I am at home). I think you have good info and want to keep it simple for a Daisy Troop brochure. I might add color to the captions (learning fun, camping, fundraising) to add more fun to it, similar to the make new friends font.
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon!
ReplyDeleteOverall, I really like this brochure. My one suggestion would be to bullet the text for "Learning Fun," "Camping," and "Fundraising." I think breaking that up a little would be easier to read and less overwhelming. Putting a boarder around your photographs is another way to make the brochure more visually appealing.
