Amanda Dudley AHRD Logo Draft

I created this logo for the AHRD program. I had a few ideas for the logo, but this option turned out the most professional looking. Since AHRD is such a confusing concept to explain to others, I decided to stick with a classic graduate school theme, while still trying to make the image interesting for viewers.   I am looking forward to feedback on this idea.  Thanks in advance :)

    Amanda,
    I really like the logo. It's quite unique and looks really cool. The width of the book seems so much wider than the AHRD. I'm curious if the letters between AHRD and the book have any significance...and wonder if others might, too. The bookmark gets a little lost at the bottom when it changes color. Not sure if you could add a little color to that section or not.
