Hey Erin, this is a good start! The images you used definitely portray the information you are trying to convey. A couple notes:
1) I might try to make the columns more uniform. Maybe move the JMU picture down so the background of 'Education' is white and move your degree information below that second purple line.
2) Add dates to your work history or a little description of what you did there.
3) I am assuming you have more to put under related experiences and references... If you add that, the whole thing will look more balanced :)
