E. Anderson Module 3 -AHRD Poster

I have had limited experience with photo editing / poster making using photo editing.  More precisely, I YouTubed and muddled my way through a Photoshop assignment in the spring of 2008 and a another one in the fall of 2011.

Hello, 2014 and hello, Pixlr!  Holy cow.  I'm still thankful for people who choose to make YouTube tutorials.  My YouTube friends…. helped me figure out how to use the Edit > Free Transform option, reminded me about layers and who they're so important, reminded me how to match colors with the Colorpicker, and taught me some other things I tinkered with.

My main struggles were with the differences between how I would make the poster in Word (text boxes, text spacing, font, sizing, and image control) versus how little control I felt I had in Pixlr.  I realize that I probably have significantly more control in Pixlr, but I couldn't figure out some of it.  I did many things "the long way," because I could figure out the short way without loosing my mind, haha :)

I feel like my end result is clean, but not too over-the-top exciting.  I'm sure those with more experience will be able to bring a wow-factor that I might be lacking.  Overall, though, I do feel glad about the muddling and YouTubing.  I can demonstrate more now than I could before the project…which is the whole point :)
