This is still a very early rendition of a poster I am working on. I'm not sure if I like it right now. I saw something similar at a bus stop once and I've always wondered about how I could recreate it. I need to change the font on the bottom and I am still not sure if the picture works at all. But eventually this will be a poster for upgrading to Office 2013.
Here is my updated poster...
Here is what I think my final poster will be...
Rob, I actually really like the picture. It's very attention grabbing and my eye flows nicely down to the banners below. I might swap the angles of the two banners, but that's just a personal preference. I think you need to find a way to highlight the purpose of the poster as much as the attention grabbing aspect of it. Maybe a banner below the picture that states the purpose of the poster and includes all the Microsoft logos. Either that, or you could move them to the bottom right. Very interesting idea. Can't wait to see how you run with it.
ReplyDeleteLove this image! I definitely got my attention!
ReplyDeleteI would stick with the image as well. One thing you might try is changing the color scheme to match the picture. The shocked lady has black, white, tan, and red tones (lipstick) that can really be drawn out and used in the banners and text.
ReplyDeleteGoing from the rubric:
ReplyDeleteFull marks for a message, right information, correct format and appropriate for audience. Color and layout work although as per my comment above you might want to play around with different color themes. Graphics, color choice, and fonts are consistent (within reason) so nothing wrong there. Margins are uniform, there are no typos (that I caught but then again on a good day I find myself asking how to spell words like "cabinet" and then have to tell myself, "don't worry, you already have a degree."). The font is a little small and could possibly be increased so readers could view from a distance (not a big issue though). Hope that helps for peer review.
P.S. Can't believe you are doing all this with a new born baby. Way to go!
